Bromsgrove is a private co-educational day and boarding school for children 7-18, and a nursery and pre-preparatory school.It was founded in 1553, is an independent school in the Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove England. Bromsgrove school caters for1500 children from the ages of 2 to 18 and has over 470 full time boarders form the age of 7. Situated in the heart of England with easy access to the central motorway network. This ancient school is caring and welcoming but academic standards and expectations are high. Teaching is demanding and pupils are expected to work hard. All Bromsgrove pupils, be they day or boarding, are attached to a House. The Houses are small communities of 13 to 18 year olds, usually consisting of around 60 pupils. (The only exception is Housman Hall which is Sixth Form only). A houseparent, housemother and dedicated team of tutors and support staff are responsible for the well-being and happiness of pupils within the house. The houses are different, as boarding houses in the best schools should be, but there are core values and structures shared by all. Houseparents are resident in the boarding houses with their own families. They are academic staff, and are supported by a housemother. Bromsgrove boarders will see family life going on around them. The unique Saturday activity programme is extensive and innovative, and includes numerous outdoor activities as well as offering academic extension lessons to 6th form. Sports facilities include two floodlit all weather pitches, indooor swimming pool and two sports halls, dance studios, a café and a hospitality area, flood lit 6 lane all weather athletics track and numerous well sited grass pitches.
